Verbal Ability Section

Difficulty level of the section was Moderate, with major increase in difficulty level happening due to the kind of questions asked in Reading Comprehension Questions. Antonyms and Synonyms were moderate, with 4 to 5 (for different question sets) of the 6 being from the words provided by us in NMAT Word List as the part of NMAT Courses. The toughest questions in the sections were Parajumbles. Rest all was doable in the section. Ideal attempts in the section will be 24-26, out of 32 questions in the section.

Quantitative Aptitude

Section was of Moderate to Difficult level. As expected, Data Interpretation and Arithmetic formed the highest proportion of the section. Data Sufficiency questions were based on topics varying from Geometry to Algebra to Numbers and were of moderate difficulty level. Data Interpretation has questions from Table, Pie Chart, Bar Graph and all were doable with some calculations. 31-33 will be a good attempt in the section, out of 48 questions.

Logical Reasoning

Section was of easy to moderate difficulty level yet again, with some really easy questions coming from topics like Critical Reasoning, Strong and Weak Argument, Statement Conclusion, Blood Relation etc. Moderate questions were from Coding, LR and Input/Output topics. 26-28 will be a good attempt in the section, out of 40 questions, majorly due to the sectional time limit.

NMAT 2017 Cutoff

Cutoffs for NMAT have not changed over last 3 years, especially for the courses at NMIMS. We expect the same trend to continue. However, safe score to target for students will be 215+.

Release of Test Results: Electronic Copy

An electronic copy of your test results is available after twenty (20) CEM business days from the test date. You may click on the link for Test Results under the Online Options on the CEM website to check status, view and/or download a copy. The electronic copy is not valid for admission purposes. It is only meant to help you understand your scores so you can decide to which Philippine medical schools to apply and whether or not you will retake the test

Release of Test Results: Examinee Report Forms

Your NMAT score will be printed on the Examinee Report Form (ERF). The original copy of the ERF will be mailed to the mailing address indicated on your NMAT Registration Form.

Independent courier service providers are contracted to transmit the ERFs. Delivery time may take more days for bulk mailing or approximately 4-7 days for NCR and 7-14 days in the provinces. CEM is not responsible for any claims for damages due to delayed delivery of your ERF for any reason. If you have not received your ERF two (2) weeks after the scheduled release, you may contact the NMAT Secretariat.

As a general rule, the following are the authorized recipients during delivery of NMAT ERF.

For Residential Delivery

1. Examinee (or ultimate consignee)
2. Any Relative/ House Mate / House Helper residing on consignee’s registered mailing address
3. Security Guard/Receptionist on-duty at any condominium or compound address

For Office Delivery

1. Examinee (or ultimate consignee)
2. Security Guard-on-duty, Receptionist, Office Assistant, Office mates

(Note: Security Guards in some condominiums, subdivisions, and compounds do not accept parcels without the consignee’s valid ID and/or authorization. Please know your security/gatekeepers’ rules and regulations and coordinate accordingly.)

To maintain confidentiality, the ERF is given only to the examinee or to an authorized representative. If you will personally pickup your ERF, you must present a valid ID. If a representative will request and/or pickup your ERF, the following documents should be presented:

1. Your signed authorization letter
2. Photocopy of your valid ID
3. Two (2) valid IDs of your representative

(APMC). These offices must refer only to the masterlist for official scores.
